About The Position

As a Seasonal Snow Removal Technician - Part Time, you will play a critical role in maintaining safe and accessible pathways and common areas within the Tahoe Keys community during the winter months. This position is seasonal and will run through the winter season, depending on snowfall. FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in snow removal or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects, including snow removal equipment.
  • A strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work in cold and adverse weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and mobile enough to walk up to two (2) miles on sidewalks, trails, turf, and uneven slopes.
  • Must be able to hear to independently receive telephone calls and voice mail messages and then be able to communicate the information received.
  • Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Responsibilities

  • Snow Removal: Clear snow from walkways, driveways, parking lots, and common areas using snow blowers, shovels, plows, and other equipment.
  • De-icing: Apply salt or de-icing solutions to prevent the formation of ice and ensure safe walking and driving conditions.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections on snow removal equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Reporting: Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or unusual conditions to the supervisor promptly.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate snow removal efforts and respond to weather-related emergencies.
  • Safety: Prioritize safety at all times, using proper techniques and equipment to minimize the risk of injury.
  • Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional customer service to residents and guests, addressing their snow removal concerns and inquiries.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including snowfall measurements and materials used.
