About The Position

The Shipping and Receiving associate will assist in the distribution, shipping and receiving, or picking and packing of different products or parts for a determined period of time. Your contribution will significantly impact the workplace atmosphere and contribute to our organization’s overall success.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to bend, kneel, stand, walk, and reach for minimum of 8 hours daily/5 days a week.
• Must be able to lift 20-40 lbs. repetitively and 50-70 lbs. occasionally at various times throughout the shift.
• Physical ability to work in awkward positions such as kneeling, bending, stooping, crawling, and overhead position, including climbing and working on a ladder.

Nice To Haves

• Previous work experience working in a warehouse environment or general inventory and shipping knowledge is preferred.
• Experience operating a forklift is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to operate a computer scanner successfully or willing to learn.
• Pay attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
• General passion for creative problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Assists in daily inventory transactions consisting of pick, pack and ship.
• Assists in receiving shipments in and transferring them to proper bin locations.
• Ensures order accuracy.
• Builds containers and/or pallets for shipping.
• Performs housekeeping duties to maintain clean work areas and facilities.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Communicate effectively with Warehouse Supervisor.
• Observes and follows company safety rules and regulations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
