Seasonal Shift Leader - AIS Decontamination Specialist
About The Position
Three Rivers Park District is seeking to fill Seasonal Shift Leader - AIS Decontamination Specialist positions at Lake Minnetonka Regional Park in Minnetrista, MN and Carver Park Reserve in Victoria, MN. This position is responsible for providing leadership to an assigned shift in a manner consistent with Park District policies that result in high quality experiences for park guests, along with performing various customer service tasks. This position is also responsible for informing and educating the public on the threats of ecologically harmful aquatic invasive species to Minnesota's waters. This position will work at public water access sites providing information to watercraft users and removing invasive plants and providing voluntary watercraft decontamination services utilizing high pressure hot water.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience in leadership, or supervision of others, or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License.
- Must either be certified as a Level II Watercraft Inspector/Decontaminator by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) upon appointment or be able to obtain certification within two weeks of date of hire.
