About The Position

As a Seasonal Service Team Member at Michaels, you will be responsible for delivering friendly customer service, assisting customers in shopping our store, and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience. You will also complete truck unloading and merchandise duties throughout the store, maintaining recovery standards to deliver our Brand Promises. This position requires availability on weekday mornings/afternoons (9am-4pm) and at least one weekend day.

Requirements

• Must be available weekday mornings/afternoons (9am-4pm) and at least one weekend day.
• Preferred retail and/or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service and help customers shop the store.
• Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Complete truck unloading and merchandise duties throughout the store.
• Maintain store recovery standards to deliver Brand Promises.
• Help customers locate products and provide solutions.
• Execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including the merchandise return/go back process.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
• Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner.
• Remain positive and respectful, even in difficult situations.
• Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Other duties as assigned.
