About The Position

This is a part-time position at Michaels in Lancaster, OH, where the primary responsibilities include delivering friendly customer service, assisting customers in shopping, and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience. The role involves completing truck unloading and merchandise duties throughout the store, maintaining store recovery standards, and supporting various store operations. The position is expected to last until January and requires working between 15-20 hours a week, with shifts that may include early mornings, nights, and weekends.

Requirements

• Preferred retail and/or customer service experience.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods.
• Ability to move throughout the store and perform regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in finding products.
• Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Complete truck unloading and merchandise duties throughout the store.
• Maintain store recovery standards to deliver brand promises.
• Help unload and sort truck deliveries.
• Assist with overstocking and restocking shelves.
• Perform light cash register duties.
• Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in merchandise recovery and maintenance.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies.
• Interact positively and respectfully with customers and team members.
• Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
