About The Position

Job Summary: The retail stores are open Monday - Sunday, but the employee will have two days off each week. Responsible for assisting with the entire sales/marketing/merchandising and inventory for A New Leaf, Inc. retail stores and wholesale businesses. Possesses strong selling and merchandising skills. Requires attention to detail, catering to the customer’s preferences. Friendly, helpful and professional demeanor when making sales and upselling, as well as setting a professional example for the clients to follow. Helps track and maintain inventory. Helps build wholesale routes with current wholesale customer base and researching new wholesale customers. Assists Sales Manager and Horticulture Manager to ensure retail centers are fully stocked with seasonal inventory, ready for special events and assist with customer requests as well as wholesale customer requests.

Requirements

Have and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license. Have dependable vehicle at all times. Have and maintain automobile insurance coverage at all times. Maintain eligibility to operate agency vehicles.
Physical capacities must include professional appearance, and bending, stooping, and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
Work flexible schedule based on schedules of persons served by and needs of A New Leaf, including but not limited to working scheduled weekends to water and spray plants.
Follow policies and procedures of A New Leaf, Inc.
Ensures all individuals served are safe in their working environment and program participation at all times.
Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing, completing required documentation and reports.
Ability to work as a team and work with a flexibility mind set, to achieve a desired balance between social service and entrepreneurial missions.
Maintain CPR/First Aid certification. Criminal arrest check will be done through the OSBI; Per Section 1025.1 et seq. Of Title 56 of the Oklahoma statues, House Bill 1790, any prospective employee with a felony or misdemeanor conviction, guilty plea or plea of nolo contendere will not be eligible for employment. This prohibition may be disregarded if an appropriate waiver is obtained from the Office of the Director, DDSD, Department of Human Services, or his/her designees.
Community Services Registry checks (House Bill 1790) will be done through DDSD, Department of Human Services. The person whose name appears on the registry cannot work for A New Leaf.
Minimum age – 21 years old
Physical capabilities must include bending, stooping, and lifting a minimum of 30 pounds.
Must possess intermediate math skills including the ability to calculate figures, amounts and percentages.
Positive attitude, strong customer service skills and an expressed desire to work with persons with developmental disabilities.
Physical ability to conduct training involving manual labor.
Final hiring pending on OSBI background check, clean driving record, Community Services Registry check, and pre-employment screening.

Nice To Haves

Sales, marketing and merchandising work experience preferred.
Preference given to persons with previous Foundations and ETS training and/or experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities if meeting the educational requirement.

Responsibilities

Supports the retail staff, job coaches and our clients in an appropriate manner. Help identify and resolve issues related to sales goals, materials, locations and quality standards of the work performed by the clients.
Assists the Sales Manager with sales execution of A New Leaf retail stores and wholesale business.
Ride along on wholesale bus to sell, up-sale and deliver product to wholesale customers with clients and job coaches.
Assists overseeing all aspects of off-site plant sales, events and promotional activity to include but not limited to setting up/delivering/organization of monthly off-site plant sales.
Responsible for monitoring and reporting wholesale customer’s sales and product requests to Sales Manager on daily basis.
Responsible for communicating retail store, sales and product requests to Sales Manager on daily basis.
Assists with maintaining weekly, monthly, seasonal and annual sales reports. Tracking best sellers and product needs to communicate to Sales Manager.
Assists with keeping retail stores astatically merchandised, creating an inviting environment for customers as well as potential donors.
Assists in unloading trucks delivering product, soils, containers, fertilizers, chemicals and other retail supplies.
Responsible for organizing product and storage areas to achieve efficiency for back stock and supplies.
Assists in executing visual sign calendar for retail locations.
Attends all necessary license/certification, in-service training and conferences in order to maintain awareness of policies, procedures and current greenhouse regulations, along with supervision and training techniques.
Complies with recognized professional standards of ethical conduct and maintain quality services.
