Requirements

• Prior retail sales experience and/or customer service experience, preferred
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency with basic math skills
• Ability to learn selling skills and to operate a POS register and telxon
• Available to work varied days and hours as work schedule requires, including extended evening hours and weekends

Responsibilities

• Build customer confidence and provide accurate information
• Promote products through point of successful sale
• Establish professional, yet personalized rapport with each customer
• Sell merchandise and provide customer service as per company standards
• Maintain the appearance of the selling floor
• Perform marketing activities such as opening new Boscov's charge accounts
• Accurately and efficiently complete all transactions and paperwork
• Maintain an awareness of advertised merchandise and assist in processing and maintaining stock
