About The Position
This is a seasonal Sales Associate role at the Newbury location, designed to support the summer season until the end of August. The position involves a range of duties including meeting and exceeding sales goals, maintaining brand and operational standards, and providing excellent customer service by utilizing UNIQLO's service standards and fundamental principles. Responsibilities also include managing fitting rooms, operating as a cashier, processing merchandise shipments, ensuring product representation on the sales floor, and assisting management with identifying and resolving store issues. The role requires providing product and brand knowledge to customers, adhering to company policies and procedures, and assisting with special projects as assigned. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to effectively communicate and follow instructions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, read computer terminals, push, pull or move objects of at least 25 pounds
- Ability to effectively maneuver around sales floor and stockroom including: repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing
- Minimum of 12 hours per week
- Availability on weekends, with religious exemptions considered
Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed sales goals
- Maintain brand and operational standards (visual, cleanliness, etc.)
- Manage customer needs and exceed expectations by utilizing the UNIQLO service standard, following the UNIQLO Fundamental Principles and saying the 6 standard phrases
- Be knowledgeable of fitting room standards and assist when needed
- Act as cashier when required by following cashier protocol
- Process shipment and ensure all merchandise is represented on the floor in full size run
- Assist management to identify and resolve issues in the store
- Provide product and brand knowledge to customers
- Follow all company policy and procedures & notify management of any infractions
- Assist with special projects as assigned by management
