About The Position

Thule Inc, Seymour, CT JOB FUNCTIONS: Operates conventional Robotic Weld Cell to fabricate metallic parts or assemblies, applying basic knowledge of welding theory and procedures, and basic mathematics. RESPONSIBILITIES: Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, attachments, accessories, and materials on welding machines or worktable as required. Operates and observes robot to detect malfunctions or non-conforming conditions. Performs minor touch-ups, change contact tips as needed, change or clean nozzles as needed. Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly, using jigs, fixtures, surface plate, surface table, and hand tools. Visually inspects to maintain quality records with minimum supervision. Verify the quality of the work using inspection tools ( scales) Maintains accurate counts of parts. Communicates with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate job activities. Ability to perform the following machining operations: Drilling and tapping Operate and setup cutoff saw Operate piercing machine Sander Follows all safety procedures and wears safety equipment or apparel as required. Performs all job functions to meet acceptable quality and performance standards. Cleans equipment, tooling and area around workstation on a daily basis. Performs weekly cleaning and machine maintenance. Read computer screens and machine dials. Other functions as required and assigned by the supervisor.
