About The Position

If you love the outdoors and are looking for summer work, look no further! The Cache County Road Division invites qualified and interested candidates to apply for a Seasonal Road Laborer I, II, or III position. Individuals who are self-motivated, hardworking, and responsible are encouraged to apply. Hours are Monday thru Thursday 6:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Position starts June 1, 2026 and will run until the end of August.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid Utah Driver's License with no DUI, ARR, and no more than 2 moving violations in the past 24 months, CDL license a plus.

Nice To Haves

• CDL license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates pickups and flatbed trucks (not requiring a commercial driver's license), and miscellaneous hand tools in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures; conducts routine equipment maintenance and daily equipment inspections according to County standards.
• Perform basic road repair and maintenance tasks; reports safety hazards and traffic problems.
• Performs manual labor assignments as needed such as pothole patching, crack sealing, chipping and paving operations, and other road maintenance tasks.
• Does facility housekeeping and maintenance.
• Reports and maintains daily work records.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Performs traffic control and flagging activities as needed; follows safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites, including placing signs, barricades, traffic cones, and other warning devices; specific duties may vary according to job assignment.
• Operates trucks requiring a CDL (Class B), and miscellaneous hand tools in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures; conducts routine equipment maintenance and daily equipment inspections according to County standards.
