About The Position

The Seasonal RN position at Logan Health's Brendan House in the Transitional Care Unit involves providing primary care to patients, including assessment, treatment, care planning, and medical care evaluation. This role is designed for a full-time commitment over a minimum 13-week period, with a focus on patient-centered care and evidence-based service. The position offers various shift differentials and bonuses for seasonal work, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and effective communication in a healthcare setting.

Requirements

  • Current Montana RN license or a multi-state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within Montana.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a similar position within a medical setting.
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology, and principles of professional nursing practice.
  • Healthcare Provider (HCP) CPR and/or BLS certification required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and possess critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various audiences and manage sensitive situations with professionalism.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN degree preferred.
  • Experience in assigned area(s) preferred.
  • Additional certifications may be required as applicable to assigned area(s).

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized, goal-directed nursing care to patients using the nursing process.
  • Maintains nursing standards of care and responds to changing workloads and patient conditions.
  • Transcribes and implements provider orders and treatments accurately and efficiently.
  • Consistently problem solves issues affecting patient care.
  • Exhibits thorough practice of infection control procedures as applicable to the assigned area.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and reports changes in patients' physical and mental conditions.
  • Documents all encounters with patients seeking health advice according to organizational standards.
  • Provides individual instruction and education to patients and families concerning health and medical needs.
  • Assesses and anticipates the needs of the patient and coordinates necessary interventions.
