What we’re looking for: A motivated and collaborative individual to join the Parks & Recreation Department. Under general supervision, you will assist in supervising assigned staff and in ensuring customer satisfaction and safety for employees and visitors at Prince Solms Park for river access. Primarily will work with cashiers selling River Management Fee wristbands, and answer questions that river visitors have. The responsibilities you’ll be trusted with: The following duties ARE NOT intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by all employees in this classification, only a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties. Provides customer service and assistance to patrons; responds to various types of facility and policy inquiries; facilitates the timely and effective resolution of patron complaints. Prepares and assists in maintaining facilities including but not limited to supervising and participating in maintenance at the City Tube Chute and Cashier Booths for River Management to ensure a safe condition and to meet community needs; must be in compliance with the City’s strategic objectives, policies and procedures, and State and Federal laws. Provides prompt, courteous, and friendly customer services to the public in order to maintain positive customer relations. Assists in managing a variety of administrative activities including processing of transactions via cash and credit card payment methods, data collection, timekeeping and payroll, and preparation of attendance and sales reports. Oversees the performance of assigned staff to evaluate proper cash handling policies and consistent documentation and protocols of Cashier duties. Assists Cashiers with answering questions from the public and ensuring the Cashiers have the tools they need to do their job effectively, such as maintaining equipment, cash bags, and wristband inventory. Facilitates Cashier in-service trainings. Assists in quality control reviews for river-related initiatives such as the free life jacket program, paid parking services, and litter removal efforts. Assists River and Watershed team with additional tasks with River Management Fee wristband orders, inventory, and reconciliation. May be required to drive a City vehicle for transportation to and from various City locations as directed by the Aquatics Supervisor. Effectively communicate problems or concerns with the Aquatics Supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
