About The Position

The Rides Associate position at the Bronx Zoo involves operating and working at the Bug Carousel and Nature Trek, ensuring that guests enjoy a safe and fun experience. This role requires an outgoing personality, swift service, attention to safety, and a friendly smile. Associates will be responsible for providing excellent service to guests, maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas, and assisting with event programming and special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent service to guests, including maintaining general knowledge of park attractions and amenities, answering questions and finding ways to create a great guest experience, in accordance with WCS standards of guest service
• Monitoring area and communicating with guests to ensure their safety
• Troubleshooting any minor problems that may occur during the ride cycle
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas as instructed
• Maintaining order among guests waiting to enter ride and safely admitting the appropriate number of guests in a timely manner
• Assisting with holiday, exhibit and events set up
