About The Position
In this role, you will deliver excellent customer service in point of sale and customer services processes while focusing on consistent execution and operational efficiency. You will deliver speed of service transactions while creating a compelling customer experience. This position is essential in ensuring that customers feel welcomed and valued, and that their needs are met promptly and effectively. You will be responsible for engaging with customers, operating cash registers, and ensuring that all transactions are handled smoothly and accurately. Your primary duties will include greeting customers, assisting them with products and services, scanning items, bagging merchandise, and properly handling various payment methods. You will be expected to execute point of sale and customer service standards based on company guidelines, providing courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service. Meeting or exceeding individual goals, such as credit and loyalty targets, will also be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will support inventory accuracy through the accurate completion of all required point of sale and merchandise disposition practices. Training new hires on the service team will be part of your role, where you will teach process best practices and proper point of sale procedures while ensuring adherence to Kohl's brand standards. Participation in daily service processes, including register and cash balancing, change orders, and replenishing supplies, will also be required. All associate roles at Kohl's are responsible for acting with integrity and honesty, fostering teamwork in an engaged and inclusive culture, exercising good judgment, and demonstrating a customer service mindset. You will need to accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes while following company policies and safety guidelines. Receiving and responding to direction from supervisors and other personnel is also a critical aspect of this position.
