About The Position

As a store associate at DICK'S Sporting Goods, you will play a vital role in enhancing the shopping experience for customers by providing exceptional service, product knowledge, and support across various departments. The position emphasizes creating an inclusive environment and contributing to a positive store culture while upholding high standards of merchandise presentation.

Requirements

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).

Responsibilities

• Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to support their shopping experience.
• Demonstrate ability to genuinely interact with customers to show passion, knowledge, dedication, and commitment in their sport or activity.
• Uphold company standards for merchandise presentation of the best brands in sporting goods.
• Promote company programs (i.e., warranty sales, loyalty program, seasonal promotions, etc.).
• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone (associates & customers) feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect.
• Perform other tasks as necessary, to support the team and the store when business needs arise.
