SEASONAL RECREATION SAFETY INSPECTOR/FLOATING BEACH MANAGER
About The Position
The State is accepting online applications for available Recreation Safety Inspector/Floating Beach Manager positions. A Recreational Safety Inspector ensures that public and private bathing sites are compliant with the R.I. General Laws Chapter 23-22.5 “Drowning Prevention and Lifesaving”, and related regulations that govern the safety of visitors at these bathing sites. This position also prepares reports on incidents of non-compliance and participates in the Lifeguard Certification Program. This position also frequently visits RIDEM facilities to ensure divisional policies and procedures are followed. As needed, this position may fill in as a Beach Manager. A Recreational Safety Inspector ensures that public bathing sites are compliant with the state laws and regulations that govern the safety of customers of parks and beaches; this position also prepares reports on incidents of non-compliance and participates in the Lifeguard certification procedures.
Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
Responsibilities
