The Seasonal Recreation Attendant is responsible to provide courteous and competent service to guests and observe all activities within assigned areas offering assistance/instruction to guests. The Recreation Attendant with rotate throughout the recreation departments. Employee housing is available for this seasonal position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid driver’s license that has been in effect for at least three years, with no major violations and no more than two minor violations in the past three years.
- May be required: to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 5 hours in length.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks.
- Must be able to exert a well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 25-50 lbs. as needed.
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 200 lbs. if needed.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees.
- Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
Responsibilities
- Attendant will assist in the daily operations of our rental facilities. Tasks will include customer service, inventory control, facility maintenance, and precision money handling.
- Welcomes visitors and answers incoming telephone calls.
- Notifies patrons of activity schedules and registration requirements.
- Receives, stores, and issues rental equipment and supplies.
- Ensuring all equipment is in a safe working order before providing to guest.
- Acting in a courteous, helpful and efficient manner when dealing with owners and guests.
- Do daily maintenance on facility and keep the facility in pristine working order.
- Communication with management about task that they believe require assistance.
- Ability to operate all of our Business Unit’s (once trained) to include but not limited to; Bike Shop, Dunes Putting Course, Carousel, Health Club Desk Attendant, Groups Team Building.
