The Racing EVS team member is responsible for the daily upkeep of the interior and exterior of the racing facility while upholding Oaklawn's Core Values. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Racing EVS Attendant is responsible for the daily upkeep of the interior and exterior of the Racing facility while upholding Oaklawn's Core Values. Always presents a friendly and professional image at the Hotel/Casino. The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary: Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required. Mixes chemicals and operates carpet shampooer and buffer. Moves furniture and cleans assigned area. Maintains and cleans machines after use. Provides excellent guest services, treating guests and team members with courtesy and consideration at all times. Cooperates and communicates with all fellow team members, always exhibiting mutual respect and consistently projecting a positive, helpful image/attitude. Maintains excellent working relationships with other departments and all applicable regulatory commissions and vendors as needed. May be assigned to various venues throughout the property depending on business needs. Follows established procedures and policies of the Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to perform the physical job duties of all EVS team members.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
  • Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arkansas Racing License.
  • All applicants must complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous housekeeping experience a plus but not required
  • High School grad or GED preferred but not required
  • Guest service experience preferred.
