About The Position
Cedar Fair is seeking a Seasonal Procurement Analyst who will play a crucial role in enhancing the company's procurement processes through data analytics. The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for providing insights into spending patterns, building internal demand profiles, and conducting comprehensive spend analysis across various Direct Material and Indirect categories. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to the procurement function, making it an excellent opportunity for interns and recent graduates looking to gain practical experience in the field. The Procurement Analyst will compile and maintain a company spend cube, which involves the collection of procurement data, identification and classification of suppliers, and the categorization of items and SKUs. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, as the analyst will perform both quantitative and qualitative spend analytics using tools such as MS Excel. Key tasks will include demand profiling, trend analysis, and data mining to uncover opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. In addition to spend analysis, the Procurement Analyst will support category strategic sourcing events by developing RFx documents, pricing and bid sheets, and analyzing supplier proposal responses. As the analyst becomes more proficient in understanding the business needs, they will be expected to provide recommendations on potential savings opportunities and solutions. The role also involves conducting ad-hoc analyses as requested and supporting departmental obligations to adhere to procurement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance, and tracking financial benefits.
