About The Position

We are hiring a reliable, customer‑focused Seasonal Pool Attendant to join our team for the summer pool season at our apartment community in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. This seasonal position runs from mid‑April through mid-September and plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming pool environment for our residents. The ideal candidate is dependable, attentive, enjoys working outdoors, and consistently provides friendly, service‑oriented support to residents and guests.

Requirements

• Reliable and punctual with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working outdoors in warm weather
• Ability to handle a physical workload, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and light cleaning tasks throughout the shift
• Reliable transportation required
• Successful completion of physical, drug, and background screenings required

Nice To Haves

• Prior pool or customer service experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Open and close the pool daily according to established procedures
• Prepare and assist with pool setup and cleaning at opening and closing
• Monitor pool access and check resident pool passes
• Ensure pool rules are followed to maintain a safe environment
• Clean and straighten the pool deck, patio furniture, restrooms, and surrounding areas
• Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the pool area
• Coordinate daily pool objectives with the on‑site manager, including checking pool chemicals as assigned
• Report safety concerns, maintenance issues, or incidents promptly to management
• Promote positive public relations by maintaining a friendly, courteous, and professional attitude toward residents, guests, coworkers, and company staff
