About The Position

Requirements

• Previous experience as a veterinary assistant, pet sitter, or in a customer service role related to animal care is preferred.
• Strong dog handling skills with an understanding of canine behavior and training techniques.
• Knowledge of animal care practices, including basic first aid for pets.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when needed and manage multiple dogs safely.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both pets and their owners.
• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and mental stimulation.
• Monitor the behavior and health of each dog during walks, reporting any concerns to the owner.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to all safety protocols and leash laws.
• Provide basic training commands during walks to reinforce good behavior.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's needs and any observations made during walks.
• Handle multiple dogs at once, ensuring each one receives attention and care.
• Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, such as carrying supplies or helping with larger breeds.
• Keep accurate records of each walk, including time spent, distance covered, and any notable incidents.
