Seasonal Patrol Deputy – Long Island, Maine (Casco Bay)
About The Position
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a certified full-time law enforcement officer to work a 10-week seasonal assignment providing law enforcement coverage on Long Island, Maine in Casco Bay this summer. This is a non-exempt, 40 hours per week position. Pay is $36.72/hr. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. The County is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. Details 10-week assignment (Summer 2026); 40 hours per week; Respond to calls for service and provide general law enforcement coverage on the island. Housing Provided: A private cottage on Long Island is available at no cost for the deputy and their family during the assignment. Requirements
- Current certification to serve as a full-time law enforcement officer through the MCJA or other recognized state agency
- Ability to commit to the entire ten week period
- Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.
