About The Position

Suit-Kote Corporation is currently seeking a Parts Counter Clerk to assist in our Preble facility.

Safety Expectations: All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.

Requirements

• Strong work ethic
• Basic understanding of automotive/HD parts
• Strong attention to detail
• Good time management skills
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds consistently
• Ability to wear a respirator
• Bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squatting
• Must be able to work in a noisy area with many odors present
• Ability to work with small parts and in small spaces
• Attend all Safety Required Training Sessions
• Obtain an OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certificate
• Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted

Responsibilities

• Counter Control
• Sign parts out
• Receive, check in and put away deliveries
• Parts ordering and retrieval - picking up necessary items at different vendors
• Manage inventory counts as required, including assisting with yearly physical inventory
• Assist in vendor relations to address inventory needs
• Service mechanics by identifying needed parts, using parts catalogs and computer systems
• Daily filing of maintenance and purchasing documentation
• Clean/organize - take out trash/cardboard, put away UPS, etc.
• Take phone calls/box up items
• Gather signs/cones and set out for crews and palletize/put away when returned
• Clean/repair signs/cones when needed
• Operate forklift
