About The Position

The Seasonal Part-Time Warehouse Associate is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to transport finished products, raw materials, and packaging materials within warehouse and distribution center (DC) environments. This role supports accurate inventory management through meticulous documentation and scanning of all product movements. Associates may be assigned to either the main facility or an off-site DC warehouse as required. This is a seasonal, part-time opportunity anticipated to run from March through the end of September, though the duration may vary slightly, and requires availability on Saturdays and Sundays only, with assignment to one of the following shifts: 1st shift (5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) 2nd shift (1:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.) or 3rd shift (9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years’ warehouse experience preferred; forklift experience a plus.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment and use handheld scanners.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Able to work flexible hours
  • Forklift certification is preferred (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport, stack, and organize products and materials.
  • Use handheld scanners and computer systems to track inventory movements, ensuring real-time and accurate inventory records.
  • Load, unload, and stage materials and products according to company procedures.
  • Read and interpret shipment orders, and accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and steel/composite toe shoes.
  • Work safely with and around hazardous chemicals (e.g., caustics, acids, ammonia) using appropriate PPE and training.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the warehouse, including cleaning machinery and floors with high-pressure hoses as required.
  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA, Department of Agriculture, and other applicable regulations.
  • Work any scheduled hours or shifts, including weekends and overtime as required. Be willing to change shifts as business needs dictate.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork and electronic records for inventory and shipments.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and support warehouse efficiency.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support overall warehouse operations.
