About The Position

Do you love being outside, working with your hands, and taking pride in your community? The Town of Johnstown is looking for friendly, energetic, and hardworking individuals to join our team for the upcoming summer season! As a Seasonal Parks Maintenance Worker, you’ll help keep our parks and cemetery beautiful, clean, and safe for everyone to enjoy. This temporary position will start in late May and work full-time hours through August.

Requirements

• Has a positive attitude and works well on a team or alone
• Is reliable - is on time for scheduled shifts, follows direction well
• Is safety conscious - wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment for the task, and follows proper safety protocols working with tools and equipment
• Is comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, rain, wind, sun, etc.) doing physical labor
• Is at least 18 years of age or older and possesses a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Mowing, weeding, pruning, maintaining flower beds and landscaped areas, edging, aerating, fertilizing, watering
• Minor irrigation repair
• Trash and litter pickup and disposal
• Restroom stocking, cleaning, and maintenance
