This is an on-call position, which means it is a part-time, hourly role. The starting pay for this position is $19.59/hour and is eligible to enroll in the City and County of Denver’s 457b retirement plan. This position is not eligible for other additional benefits. On‐call positions may have routine or variable work schedules. These positions will report to 4495 N Jason Street in Denver but will work at various locations throughout the city. This position will work Monday – Thursday, 6am – 3:30pm, with an option to work 6am – 10am on Fridays in addition. Hours and days may change based on business need.

Requirements

  • Experience with one or more of the following maintenance/operational functions: painting, carpentry, and/or graffiti removal projects.
  • Proficiency with various hand-powered tools and motorized equipment.
  • Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.

Responsibilities

  • Support the operation and maintenance of Denver’s extensive network of parks facilities.
  • Focus on functions such as painting, carpentry, graffiti removal, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
  • Work as part of the Facilities Legacy Team focused on park improvement projects.
  • Work indoors and outdoors on parks facilities using and maintaining various hand-powered tools and motorized equipment.
  • Learn best practices in responding to facilities maintenance requests and scheduled projects.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, repair, and installation for painting, carpentry, and/or graffiti removal projects.
  • Support operations related to inspections to ensure safe and effective functioning of facilities.
  • Perform snow removal operations such as plowing, shoveling, and de-icing as needed.
  • Perform various related duties such as trash collection, bathroom maintenance and cleaning, vandalism repair/graffiti removal.
