Responsible for monitoring, directing, and controlling the designated parking lots for guest parking. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide positive customer experiences by consistently providing excellent service Patrol assigned parking lot to monitor cars and contents and ensure that only authorized persons are on the lot Ensure vehicles are safely and legally parked Direct traffic in and out of the parking lot Provide information about available Oaklawn parking lots Monitor the parking/drive up area to keep the flow of vehicles organized Report any suspicious acts to supervisor Write reports of any unusual activities or incidents Follow assigned work schedule Attend all scheduled meetings called by supervisors Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned Punctual attendance required Ability to work required overtime. Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school graduate or GED preferred Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal. Able to quickly adapt to changing conditions Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene Ability to maintain a calm, professional and friendly demeanor in all situations Able to adhere to and deliver Oaklawn's Core Values Ability to work independently with limited supervision Ability to use hand held 2-way radio in a professional manner Able to work outdoors for 90% or more of shift Able to work in varied weather conditions Must be able to stand, stoop and walk for long periods of time SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job may or may not have supervisory responsibilities. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arkansas Racing License. Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school graduate or GED preferred
