Your New Role As a seasonal, full-time Park Ranger Assistant, you will assist year-round State Park staff with the protection, maintenance, and operation of park lands, resources, facilities, and equipment. In this position, you will typically handle basic tasks in a variety of disciplines including janitorial services, landscaping and trail work, facility maintenance, and visitor services. Basic skills in building trades, such as carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work, may be needed. Specialized skills in park maintenance could also be required. You may also guide volunteers or other staff in completing specific tasks. We recruit for seasonal positions each year that generally work June through September; however, the duration may vary depending on the park's specific needs.
