About The Position

CCPC is a Christian, humanitarian community resource center that helps improve the lives of people and communities by meeting immediate and basic needs, serving as a leading networker of community resources, offering counseling and care support, and giving hope to those we serve. Seasonal Food Pantry Associate (Winter 2025-2026) Availability: Mon thru Friday 8 am - 4 pm (30 hours/week). Campus: Park City Compensation and Benefits Pay Range: $18.50-$20/h. Primary Responsibility: The Seasonal Food Pantry Associate plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our food pantry, ensuring that individuals and families in need receive access to food. Additionally, this position requires a compassionate and organized individual with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to serve our community at their point of need.

Requirements

  • Passionately live out the vision and values of the Christian Center of Park City through this role and cast that vision to the team, volunteers, donors, and clients of the Center and to the general public.
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality in all matters.
  • Willingness to get a food handler permit promptly after hiring.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the team in a multi-task environment and maintain a positive attitude in the midst of change.
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift 25-30 lbs safely.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
  • Current driver's license and clean driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Food Pantry Manager and food pantry staff in a team-based environment to manage the daily activity of the food pantry.
  • Train, supervise, and guide volunteers in their tasks, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
  • Greet clients warmly and respectfully, creating a welcoming and supportive environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of client visits through the operation of the point of sale system with accuracy and precision.
  • Receive, inspect, record and properly store food donations.
  • Rotate stock to ensure freshness and prevent spoilage, including working closely with warehouse operations to keep stock used properly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized food pantry environment.
  • Be aware of and provide information and referrals to other community resources to benefit clients.
  • Maintain and follow CCPC’s guidelines for financial integrity and accountability regarding sales transactions, cash handling, deposits, and donations.
  • Maintain an overall professional appearance and atmosphere that aligns with that of CCPC.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and occasional offsite events.
