We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Racing Outrider. An individual could be successful if they possess the following. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Racing Outrider is responsible for ensuring the safety of all horse racing participants (both human and equine) during training and live racing. They also help riders who are having trouble with difficult horses, particularly when a horse tries to run away with its rider.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be able to read, write legibly, understand and speak English
Ability to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays
Ability to stand for periods of time and work in inclement weather when necessary
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
1 year related experience and/or training; or combination
Must be an experienced rider
Must be able to catch loose or troubled horses while maintaining control of their horse
Must be knowledgeable of the Rules of Racing
Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)
Must qualify for an Outriders licensed with Racing Commission
Excellent customer service/communication skills
Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
