About The Position
As a Seasonal Operations Associate at JCPenney, you will play a crucial role in creating an outstanding customer experience by performing various operations functions within the store. This position is designed for individuals who enjoy staying active and working with their hands. You will be part of a task team that operates primarily in the early morning hours, executing essential functions before the store opens to the public. Your responsibilities will include customer service, pricing and signing, replenishing and restocking merchandise, receiving and unloading shipments, maintaining backroom standards, and fulfilling online orders. This role is seasonal, meaning you will have a defined employment period, but there is potential for extension or transition to a regular position based on your work ethic and availability. In this position, you will be expected to maneuver around the store at a fast pace, engaging with customers and assisting them with their inquiries. You will also be responsible for executing pricing changes and ensuring that merchandise is well-stocked and available for customers. Your ability to work collaboratively with your co-workers to unload trucks and prepare merchandise will be essential in maintaining the store's operational efficiency. Additionally, you will be tasked with keeping the stockroom organized and safe, as well as executing merchandising strategies communicated by leadership to enhance the customer experience.
