About The Position

Chalet is a fourth generation, family owned retailer that has served our community for over 100 years, selling a variety of products including outdoor plants, indoor plants, garden products, outdoor furniture, home and holiday decorations, and pet food/supplies. This opportunity is for a new team member who enjoys working mostly outside in a very physical job. The primary responsibility will be preparing the Nursery for the busy Spring season, ensuring trees, shrubs, and other plants are ready for customer purchase.

Requirements

• Helpful, hardworking and accountable people who can lift at least 50 pounds (75 pounds ideally).
• Comfortable working actively and being on your feet for 8 or 9 hour shifts.
• Available to work 5 days per week (including 1 shift on a weekend day if possible) with a schedule that is 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm daily.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with plants or in retail or a warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Unloading tree and shrub trucks.
• Setting up the Nursery yard.
• Unhealing the trees and shrubs that were put away for the winter.
• Watering plants.
• Supporting our planting crew as needed.
• Helping with deliveries as needed.
