The Dallas Mavericks are looking for qualified applicants to experience a professional work environment by assisting with the Merchandise Team’s special events and seasonal projects. This includes helping with popup stores/events, inventory and warehouse organization, merchandising efforts, photoshoots, customer service, and other special projects across the DFW metroplex. The Seasonal Merchandise Assistant will assist with a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: Day-to-Day Operations: Assist with general merchandise department requests and daily tasks including both buying and website related tasks. Help with polybagging clothing, folding, steaming, hanging, and counting inventory. Assist with special arena, website, warehouse, photoshoot, and other retail operations. Help with travel to various warehouses and retail locations for special projects. Event & Pop-Up Support: Assist with the set-up and breakdown of events Plaza Launch Parties – Assist with event preparation, merchandise setup, and day-of execution. Additional Pops up / Playoff Pop-Ups – Help with the setup and execution of all playoff-related retail activations. Order Fulfillment & Warehouse Operations Assist with order packing in collaboration with the third-party logistics team to ensure timely fulfillment. Help with conducting physical inventory counts (2000+ units) to verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing merchandise. Photoshoot Support Assist with steaming apparel to ensure garments are camera-ready and wrinkle-free Multiple Photoshoots throughout the season: 250+ samples each Help with hanging product samples to maintain visual consistency and workflow efficiency. Assist with on-site logistics, timing, and troubleshooting during shoots to ensure smooth execution. Customer Service Customer service assistance needed during peak season times Assist the Customer Service Representative by providing responsive support during high-traffic retail periods (e.g. product launches, playoff campaigns, player trades and drafts). Help with answering tickets within 24 hour response policy Assist with manually entering dropship jersey orders into Excel and organizing invoice PDFs. Assist with reviewing unfulfilled orders to document reasons for non-fulfillment. Systems & Inventory Management Assist with managing product and inventory systems: Arena POS / Inventory System Help with entering and maintaining product data for 150+ items. Assist with generating purchase orders to support vendor procurement. Web POS / Inventory System Help with uploading and categorizing 200+ new items for e-commerce and retail tracking. Merchandising Support Assist with creating and maintaining merchandising books for internal use and vendor presentations. Help with organizing and managing the sample closet: Logging samples by vendor, date received, category, and internal approval dates. Assist with preparing 50+ detailed buy sheets for seasonal assortment planning: Help with setting up buy sheets, inserting images, vendor codes, categories, and price points. Help with uploading item numbers into arena and web systems.
