About The Position
SEASONAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Serene at Woodlake – Athens, GA Burlington Capital Properties is now accepting applications for the Seasonal Maintenance Technician position at Serene at Woodlake Apartments located in Athens, Georgia. This role assists all team members to protect and improve the overall appearance and maintenance of the property. Maintenance team members protect and improve the overall appearance and maintenance of the property. We value employees who understand the team impact on the overall success of our properties and resident retention. This full-time maintenance position requires availability Monday through Friday 8:30 to 5:30, with on-call rotation on evenings and weekends (on-call schedule to be discussed during interviews). The expected dates for this position are May 1 through September 30 with a possible extension to a future date.
Requirements
- Must possess adequate working knowledge of a property’s significant maintenance needs such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry etc.
- Ability to follow directives and work with minimum supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to interact positively with residents, employees, vendors and the general public
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required
Nice To Haves
- HVAC certification preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Clean all common areas and walkways and maintain overall property appearance.
- Walk the property daily to maintain "curb appeal" - trash pick-up; watering flowers; sweeping certain areas.
- Assist the maintenance team with light repairs and routine maintenance tasks.
- Maintain resident relations – provide excellent customer service to residents; participate in resident functions as required by the Property Manager.
- Follow all safety and liability guidelines – help ensure that all items listed in the safety inspection report are up to company standards; report all oversights to Property Manager as directed.
- Contribute to team effort – participate in preventative maintenance schedule as required; attend all staff meetings; other duties as assigned by management
- Monitor and maintain the pool deck and pool areas to prevent accidents and eliminate hazardous situations.
