Requirements

  • Knife skills, line cooking, and food prep experience
  • Ability to manage time efficiently
  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • Minimum of 1 year as a line cook

Responsibilities

  • Prepares all food according to the menu in a safe, sanitary manner under the direction of the Chef or Manager
  • Ensures proper preparation, portioning, and serving of food according to Chef's recipes
  • Adheres to all safety and sanitation standards
  • Prepares food promptly at specified meal times
  • Follows departmental procedures including sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules.
  • Ensures all food in coolers, freezer, and dry storage are labeled, dated, and properly stored
  • Cleans all food service equipment, kitchen, and food storage areas
