About The Position

The Seasonal Large Gas Turbine (LGT) Estimator for Field Service at Siemens Energy plays a crucial role in supporting the North American Field Service Operations team by delivering accurate cost estimates for service projects. This position is responsible for preparing detailed estimates to assist in winning contracts and ensuring successful project delivery, while also contributing to budget development and risk evaluation for outages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, or combined equivalent of education and work experience.
  • 3+ years' field experience working on gas turbines.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Experience planning and leading gas turbine projects.
  • Excellent written communication skills!
  • Proficiency in SalesForce, SAP, and Project Module preferred.
  • Experience with estimating systems or software and experience with excel macros, power queries, or programming (Apex, Oracle, Python) preferred.
  • Field Service Project Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates of Field Service labor, tooling and equipment, expenses, subcontractors, and overhead to support winning contracts.
  • Assist in developing outage budgets and spend plans to support implementing successful outages.
  • Liaise with the District, Sales, and Marketing teams and related technical experts to define mechanical scope of work, division of responsibilities (DOR), and customer specific requirements.
  • Maintain the functionality and accuracy of estimating tools through evaluation of actual performance data.
  • Daily employ SalesForce CPQ, Project Module (PROMO), TCTP, and SAP in support of estimating and planning activities.
  • Identify and evaluate risks to support developing contingency estimates for Field Service projects.
  • Participate in internal projects and in multi-functional teams to improve products and services.
  • Support Field Service operations in a limited role as a semi-productive engineer, quality engineer, or in related capacity.
