About The Position
SEASONAL LABORER The City of Kaukauna, WI is accepting applications for Seasonal Laborer positions. The Seasonal Laborer position will work full-time hours (30-40 hours weekly) during the summer. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for that summer job to gain experience! Individuals MUST be at least 18 years of age to apply for these positions. PRIMARY JOB ACTIVITIES Maintain and clean parks by mowing, watering, weed control, tree trimming, litter pick up and landscaping. Clean sewers Perform light maintenance under direction Pick up leaves and rakes terraces Paint Shovel asphalt Assist with garbage collection Drive City vehicles which do not require a CDL Shovel crosswalks Assist in general street maintenance under supervision This list is not intended to cover all duties. Other activities may be assigned within the scope of work.
Requirements
- Ability to write, read, understand and follow instructions
- Minimum of 18 years old
- Valid WI Driver's License
- Ability to perform tasks on a regular basis which require frequent standing, climbing, lifting, reaching, bending, squatting and carrying.
- Ability to lift, push and pull.
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to withstand a variety of temperatures and adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to work in a safe manner and wear proper PPE.
