About The Position

Seasonal Laborer Operator West Chester Township has an immediate need to fill multiple Seasonal Laborer positions. Seasonal Laborers perform a variety of unskilled or semi-skilled maintenance work, and operate a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, and maintenance of township parks, cemeteries, and roads. Duties include mowing, landscaping, road and park maintenance, event setup, and public bathroom detailing. The time of employment will occur from April through October; we are flexible with school schedules. Candidates m ust be able to work weekends. A standard schedule is Sunday-Thursday, Tuesday-Saturday, or Monday-Friday. The time of the shift varies. Most weeks will be 40-hour weeks with some flexibility and opportunity for overtime. Must be 16 years or older to apply. A valid driver’s license is a requirement for employment. College students looking for summer employment are encouraged to apply. The rate of pay is $15.00 per hour. The selection process includes: panel interview, background check, and a drug screen. West Chester Township is an equal opportunity employer.
