About The Position

DCR manages over 450,000 acres of parks, forests, water supply protection lands, beaches, lakes, ponds, playgrounds, swimming pools, skating rinks, trails, golf courses, and parkways, striving to be a leader in conservation and recreation with a passionate and dedicated staff. The Department of Conservation and Recreation seeks qualified applicants for a Seasonal Laborer I position. Seasonal Laborers perform and assist with a variety of duties related to conservation and maintenance work.

Requirements

  • May be required to possess a current and valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and assist with a variety of duties in connection with conservation and maintenance work including, but not limited to, grounds and facility maintenance work including cutting grass, raking leaves, watering, painting, rubbish removal, beautification of parks, campgrounds, and reservations, beaches and facilities.
  • May be expected to use a variety of hand tools.
  • May operate motor vehicles and light trucks including loading and unloading of supplies, equipment, etc.
  • Greet and assist park visitors and provide information about the facility.
  • Based on assignment, collect fees and may be required to possess a current and valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
