Requirements

Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:
Minimum of 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
Reliable transportation to attend work.
A warm and friendly personality and the ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, children, and supervisors.
Desire to work in a camp setting and be able to accept guidance and supervision from the Food Service Director.
Enthusiasm, patience, positive attitude, and flexibility are key.
Breadth of knowledge about cooking and preparing meals.
A high level of organization, flexibility, and ability to handle difficult situations effectively and possess values relative to the YMCA mission.
Positive, service-oriented attitude serving diverse groups of people regarding age, abilities, ethnicity, gender, race, economic status, religion, etc.

Responsibilities

Collaborate: Join a welcoming camp team that feels like family and works together to create excellent customer service for all camp guests.
Connect: Create meaningful relationships with guests and assist them with quality meals and snacks.
Create: Develop a better understanding of food preparation and meal services.
