About The Position

Topdrawer designs tools for the impossibly creative. Born in Tokyo, Topdrawer now operates 16 stores across five major U.S. cities and has a growing direct-to-consumer luxury brand online. They serve a community of creative people with beautifully designed tools for living, traveling, and creating, including fountain pens, notebooks, house shoes, small leather goods, sunglasses, bags, and ritual objects. The brand combines elevated Japanese design sensibility, European craft influences, and a uniquely personal retail experience that encourages presence, slowness, and intention. With strong in-store storytelling and an expanding digital presence, Topdrawer is evolving into a quiet powerhouse in modern luxury retail. As a Seasonal Key Holder, you will be a frontline leader, bringing the brand to life during the busiest time of the year, from November through mid-January. You will support exceptional customer experiences, maintain visual standards, and ensure smooth day-to-day store operations during the holiday season. This role involves taking ownership of opening and closing responsibilities, supporting the team through peak traffic, and creating a welcoming environment that reflects the spirit of Topdrawer. This opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about creativity and customer service who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Seasonal employees must be available to work throughout the duration of the holiday season (November – mid-January), and requests for time off during this period cannot be accommodated.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a warm, personalized customer experience during peak holiday shopping periods
  • Share product knowledge and storytelling to inspire thoughtful, intentional purchases
  • Support the team in building lasting connections with new and returning customers
  • Lead by example on the sales floor, modeling service standards and energy
  • Assist with onboarding seasonal associates and mentoring team members
  • Foster a supportive, collaborative environment during high-volume days
  • Perform opening and closing responsibilities with accuracy and reliability
  • Assist with holiday inventory receiving, stocking, and floor replenishment
  • Maintain visual standards that showcase Topdrawer’s curated assortment
  • Contribute to daily sales goals, conversion, and AOV
  • Help ensure store cleanliness, presentation, and readiness at all times
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and promotions
