The IT Technical Coordinator will receive invaluable hands-on experience in a fast-paced IT environment, where they will deliver first-level technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist in the setup and breakdown of Point-of-Sale systems, manage support tickets, perform routine maintenance tasks like system checks, and collaborate with other park teams to ensure smooth operations. We are currently looking for a: Lake Compounce - Seasonal IT Technical Coordinator Roles & Responsibilities: The IT Technical Coordinator will receive invaluable hands-on experience in a fast-paced IT environment, where they will deliver first-level technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and assist in the setup and breakdown of Point-of-Sale systems, manage support tickets, perform routine maintenance tasks like system checks, and collaborate with other park teams to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or graduated from a high school or college program, preferably in a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science)
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Connecticut Child Labor Laws
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to frequently work hours that extend beyond 9 AM to 5 PM, particularly during the operating season
  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods of time, while using a computer
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for extended periods of time during the day
  • Ability to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders
  • Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 50 pounds or more
  • Ability to consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/tools

  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Assist in setting up and breakdowns of Point of Sale and peripherals.
  • Open and manage support tickets, escalating issues to corporate IT as necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system checks
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure smooth operation of IT services
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge
  • Maintain PCI standards and compliance with all applicable hardware/software
  • All other duties assigned by leadership
