Seasonal-Inventory Control / Warehouse Specialist

It’s an exciting time to be a part of H&R Block! What you'll do... Provide shipping and receiving for orders that are processed through Technology Services and the H&R Block Depot. Work closely with production associates to ensure adequate inventory of parts and equipment are in stock and ready to ship. Prepare equipment for outbound shipping and complete check-in for inbound shipping. Perform the day-to-day duties of the General warehouse operations requirements, scanning, tracking, inventory, cycle counts, etc.
Requirements
- High school or GED
- Two years shipping, receiving and/or inventory control experience
- Experience using barcode scanner and inventory tracking software
- Two years of sit-down forklift experience/ pallet jack
- One year experience in customer service assisting internal and/or external customers
- Ability to organize, comprehend and carryout instructions effectively
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks and to work independently
- Ability to work well in a group atmosphere, as part of a team or individually
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be computer literate
- Must be able to consistently lift, carry and stack up to 65 pounds
- Must be able to work on your feet during a normal 8 to10 hour workday
- Must be available for overtime hours
Nice To Haves
- Associates Degree
- Some leadership experience
- Experience managing inventory cycle counts
- Full understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
- Full understanding of UPS World Ship Software
- Current Powered Forklift certification
Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, approve and process order requests
- Generate proper documentation for shipping
- On a daily basis reconcile shipping and receiving documentation to ensure that inventory accountability is maintained
- Maintain optimum work area organization, efficiency and cleanliness
- Attend regular training sessions scheduled by Warehouse/Inventory Control Supervisor or Department Manager
- Work with shipping vendors to ensure timely delivery and receiving services
- Reconcile shipping and receiving reports on a daily basis to ensure that inventory accountability is maintained
- Research inventory processing issues for shipping and receiving
- Receive, verify, and process requests for replacement equipment relating to insurance claims
- Inventory management, tracking, scanning
- Lift, carry and stack up to 65 pounds
- Ability to work on your feet during a normal 8 to10 hour work day
