About The Position
The Fairmont is seeking a seasonal In Room Dining Order Taker for the upcoming Holiday season, which runs from November to January. This role is crucial in ensuring that guests have a memorable dining experience in the comfort of their rooms. As an Order Taker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and support to the In Room Dining team, contributing to the overall guest experience. You will report directly to the Food and Beverage Manager and will be expected to consistently deliver professional, friendly, and engaging service to all guests. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting guests with menu inquiries, maintaining proper telephone etiquette, and having comprehensive knowledge of the beverage lists and menu items. You will accurately record guest orders, accommodating special requests while adhering to the outlet's policies and service standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for following safety and sanitation protocols when handling food and beverages. This position requires a strong focus on guest needs, ensuring that you remain calm and courteous even in a fast-paced environment.
