Job Purpose: The Seasonal Horticulturist Intern supports the Lead Horticulturist and grounds team in maintaining and enhancing the outdoor and indoor landscapes across Attic Angel property and managed communities. This seasonal role is hands-on and educational, ideal for a student or recent graduate pursuing horticulture, landscape design, or environmental science. You’ll gain real-world experience working with ornamental beds, turf, trees, shrubs, and more. Seasonal beginning late April - September working 32 hours a week
Requirements
- Current enrollment or recent completion of coursework in horticulture, landscape design, environmental science, or related field
- Strong interest in plants, landscape maintenance, and outdoor work
- Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions
- Comfortable with physical labor, including lifting and manual tasks
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, and seasonal landscape maintenance
- Help maintain turf, trees, shrubs, and ornamental beds
- Support irrigation monitoring and basic landscape care tasks
- Assist with grounds projects such as bed redesign, mulching, and plant installation
- Work alongside the grounds team to ensure properties remain attractive, safe, and well-maintained
- Learn and apply best practices in horticulture, plant health, and landscape care
- Participate in community and resident programs as needed
