About The Position
The Harm Reduction Advocate plays a crucial role in providing safe emergency shelter and support services for homeless individuals and those undergoing intoxication and withdrawal management. This position focuses on meeting the immediate needs of clients who cannot access other shelter options, ensuring a respectful environment, and facilitating connections to additional resources and services. The advocate is responsible for maintaining safety and security within the shelter and managing various operational tasks during shifts that may include day, evening, overnight, and weekends.
