About The Position

The Seasonal Guest Experience Leader (GEL) at Bloomingdale's is a part-time role focused on enhancing customer experiences on the selling floor. The GEL is responsible for actively engaging with customers, resolving issues, and mentoring associates to ensure a high level of service. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university.
• 3-5 years of related experience in a retail environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic math functions.
• Ability to manage people, resources, and workflow independently.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.
• Proven ability to build cross-functional relationships.

• Experience in a leadership role within retail.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage with customers and greet them upon entry.
• Anticipate customer needs and resolve issues promptly.
• Mentor associates on store processes to enhance customer experience.
• Perform closing functions including register duties and equipment management.
• Provide visible oversight of the store and support total store priorities.
• Advocate for customers by soliciting feedback and addressing their needs.
• Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and manage Sales Professionals' schedules.
• Lead the fulfillment strategy and maintain store standards at closing.
• Coach and role model customer-centric selling behaviors for associates.
• Communicate with management about customer experience and staffing issues.
