Seasonal Gatehouse Attendant (Regional Parks)
About The Position
The Anoka County Parks mission is as a department of Anoka County, our mission is to positively impact the quality of life in Anoka County by providing parks, outdoor recreation, and leisure services for the public. Our mission encompasses the protection of the natural environment, improving the health of citizens, and supporting a strong local economy. The department has an immediate opening for Seasonal Gatehouse Attendant who will perform various duties. Some of the critical responsibilities of this position include providing courteous and professional service to guests at all times answering questions, directing them through the facilities, and elevating any concerns as necessary. This is a seasonal, non-exempt, on-site position. Interviews will take place as applications are received for those selected to move forward in the hiring process.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age or older by date of application.
- Successfully pass a criminal history background check.
Nice To Haves
- Previous cash handling experience.
- Previous customer service experience.
Responsibilities
- Portray a positive and professional image of the Parks Department while performing duties.
- Effectively sell permits and communicate park/facility information to customers.
- Complete routine daily reports and accounting procedures in a legible and accurate fashion.
- Use basic mathematical functions without use of calculator.
- Communicate via various technology (phone/computer/radio device).
- Must be neatly groomed and willing to wear and maintain a uniform.
