As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain operations of the company. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare, process, and move merchandise in a productive, safe, and accurate manner, adhering to established production rates, standards, and guidelines. This position requires you to be adaptable, as you will be cross-trained to perform various functions across different departments to meet the business and operational needs effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving and processing merchandise, which includes tasks such as picking, packing, preparing, shipping orders and returns, and loading and unloading trailers. You will also be required to input data to prepare reports, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date. Providing high-quality internal and external customer service is essential, as you will communicate with vendors, associates, and various locations to resolve disputes and review compliance with company standards. Safety is a top priority in this position. You will be expected to follow all company, state, local, and OSHA safety rules, policies, and regulations. It is your responsibility to promptly report any potential violations to the appropriate supervisor or manager. Additionally, you must comply with all company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines, particularly those related to accuracy and productivity. Attendance is critical, and you will need to maintain regular and acceptable attendance as set by the company while adhering to dress code requirements. Flexibility in your work schedule is also necessary, as you may be required to work any designated shift and overtime as requested based on business and operational needs.
