About The Position

Cambria Calabasas-Malibu Hotel is seeking a reliable and energetic Seasonal Food Runner to support our indoor restaurant, outdoor pool service, and banquet events during the spring and summer season. This role is essential in ensuring timely, accurate, and polished food delivery while maintaining a high level of hospitality.

Requirements

Previous food runner or food expeditor (expo) experience required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in warm temperatures
Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays up to 40 lbs
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Weekend, evening, and holiday availability required
Food Handler Card required (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

Deliver food quickly and accurately from kitchen to restaurant tables and pool guests
Ensure all plates are properly garnished, organized, and presentation-ready before leaving the kitchen
Assist with food expediting (expo), including organizing tickets, verifying accuracy, and coordinating timing between kitchen and service staff
Assist with banquet food service, plated dinners, buffets, and special events as needed
Communicate clearly with kitchen and service team to maintain smooth operations
Support servers, bartenders, and banquet staff during high-volume periods
Assist with clearing tables and maintaining clean dining, pool, and event spaces
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
